How To Increase Your Favor With Man In 2018

“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.”

~Luke 2:52

Lance Wallnau defines favor this way: “The attraction of God to you; that releases an influence through you, so that every resource you need materializes in order to accomplish the assignment God gave you.”

I declare 2018 will be a year in which you will have the opportunity to walk in the favor of the Almighty. It will depend on your receptivity of this opportunity for you to walk in it.

You need to be aware that during a season of increase there are two fundamental elements, and they are, Wisdom and favor.

When we study the life of Joseph, we find that in spite of all the trouble and accidents he went through in reaching his final elevation becoming the second in command in Egypt, these two elements were highly responsible for his rise to power.

“…and delivered him out of all his troubles, and gave him favor and wisdom in the presence of Pharaoh, king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.”

~Acts 7:10

The same was also true with the rising of King Solomon during his reign in Israel.

“wisdom and knowledge are granted to you; and I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings have had who were before you, nor shall any after you have the like.”

~2 Chronicles 1:12

This verse doesn’t mention specifically the favor of God upon Solomon, but he didn’t have to do anything to obtain, riches, wealth and honor. It was bestowed upon his life so he could accomplish his assignment as king. This is what favor is all about.

Perhaps you wonder what you have to do to qualify so you can become the recipient of His Favor. Let me ask the question, did Joseph or King Solomon do anything to obtain it? The answer is NO. They were just in the receiving end of His grace. They had an assignment in life, and Father God made sure they had what they needed to accomplish it.

You may say, I don’t think I have that kind of assignment in my life. That’s fine. You still can have what is needed. Let me show you what you can do.

Number one: You need wisdom? “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”!

~James 1:5

Number two: You need His Favor? “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”

~Mark 11:24

Make 2018, the year in which these two things will operate in your life. However, as you ask for these two fundamental elements, notice the lives of Solomon and Joseph. They were equipped so they could serve the people. When you ask, commit to serve your people with His Wisdom and Favor; you will position yourself in the right place to receive from Father God. Jesus served His generation. You can do the same.
