Prepare To Give A Logical Explanation Of Your Faith

“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.

—1 Peter 3:15

There have been a few times in my life when I have sensed the need to sound the alarm. I remember when our ministry was in Brooklyn, New York. I forget the year. Probably in the late eighties. I had been exposed to the Prophetic and felt very strongly about organizing a conference to introduce believers in New York about this controversial ministry. Our church Paul and Silas led that effort, and it was timely and necessary.

I felt the same way when the office of Apostle was being restored. It was 2003 if I’m not mistaken. Our ministry again called on some friends and organized an apostolic conference in Queens NY. It was a great success.

Today, I am feeling the same way. Perhaps not as intense as I was about the previous two but yes, it is that time again. The difference being I’m not organizing a conference but sounding an alarm. Every Christian in America needs to get ready to defend their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

When I heard the news that a 5-year-old child in Delaware, had been somehow "protected" by the school from his parents concerning his gender inclinations or tendencies or symptoms or whatever you want to call it, then I knew it was time to become vocal about such aberrant act of usurpation of parental authority. Then just yesterday, the same thing happened again. The school system via their teachers and administrators violated the parent's trust by taking elementary children during a normal school day; to political rallies without any parental consent.

These two acts cannot go unnoticed. These are dangerous signs that the present turmoil of our society can no longer be accidental. These acts are blunt and militant political manipulations designed to usurp the rights of parents over their children for purely political gain.

I thank God I have no small children in the school system anymore. But I have 2 grandchildren. Jedediah just about to enter kindergarten and Olivia who will join him in about 4 more years.

Let me say the following. It seems church leaders in its majority have been very much concerned about the government persecuting them; the Johnson amendment (the Johnson amendment prohibits 501(c) (3) non-profit organizations from endorsing or opposing political candidates) has not been repealed. There hasn’t been the necessary zeal from our leaders to stand up and demand its repeal, especially when Republicans control the Senate and are their Party.

The time has come for believers to prepare and get ready to do what Peter said:

“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you, a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear. (Emphasis mine)

The time has come to get equipped with information and knowledge of God’s Word. His Word applies to all life which includes morality, marriage, gender, economics and freedom. If we don’t do this, the enemy who operates in a vacuum will take the upper hand. Get ready to give an answer for the hope that is in you. A logical explanation. It’s not enough to say I’m Christian. You must logically defend your faith and must equip or mentor your children to do the same. We can no longer remain silent. Hear the trumpet and prepare for war!
