GOOD ENOUGH ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH

Isaac is the “promised child” Not Ishmael.

I cannot say it enough, “Good enough” is not for you! Jesus said, I have come so you can have abundant life. If you are a believer, then with all respect, I say to you: “Never settle for less than what God said. You would be disrespecting the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for you on Calvary.”

At one time or another, we have all been tempted to settle for “good enough.” Whether it's our healing, our dream, our vision, our job, the companion we need, or the child we dream of having; and nothing has happened yet.

“Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the LORD, who had appeared to him.” -Genesis 12:7

Time went by and there was no child. Abraham was so desperate to have a son, that he accepted the suggestion of his wife and had a son with his maid-servant Hagar.

“So Hagar bore Abram a son; and Abram named his son, whom Hagar bore, Ishmael.“ -Genesis 16:15

Ishmael represents the “spirit of good enough.” Father God had promised Abram a son with his wife Sarah. Not with her maid-servant Hagar. Abram made a mistake and settled for “good enough.”

We serve a Good God. He loved Abram so much that years after that He gave him Isaac the “child of the promise.” You may be right now in the land of “good enough.” Do not settle there! Believe for what God has promised you. Refuse to compromise. He loves you so much. Your Isaac is on its way!
