What Can I Do To Find Out Why Am I Here?
Without a doubt, this is one of the most difficult questions we can ask ourselves. We all have that unquenchable desire to know for sure. What to do with my life? Why am I here? How come I have material things, wealth, success, and still feel unfulfilled? Do you feel this way?
If you do, you are not alone. There are millions of people who share with you the same sentiment. From the moment we are born, most normal parents begin to form an idea about what we should be. Some who have the financial means begin to save money in the bank for your college education. If they can, they send you to the best schools. They feel proud about this and boast with their friends about the fact that they are sending you to the best school in the city.
In their mind, they dream of you becoming a college graduate, an attorney, a medical doctor, an astronaut, etc. Yet, you the one who is doing all the work, may or may not have a clue about whether you want to be any of that. Most of the high school graduates have no idea what they want to do with their lives, less what career they would like to pursue. Of course, there is always an exception. Hope you are part of that small percentage, but I am writing this Blog for those who are in the majority.
I don’t pretend to have all the answers but being in ministry for the last 40 years I had a great deal of time wrestling with this question. Not only that, I had to answer that question for myself. There is nothing more liberating, exciting, beautiful, and personally satisfying than to find the answer to that question. I am presently involved in the most rewarding venture anyone can have: Mentoring people so they can become “Winners” in life.
This is only a Blog, so I must be brief, concise and to the point, if I am to help you in answering this question so, let’s get on with it.
Only the manufacturer of a specific machine, tool or object knows the reason for which he created or invented it; the reason there is a manual with the item and a clause stipulating to contact the manufacturer in case of a problem. Also, they give you a warranty.
You are a creation of the Almighty. He is your Father and the only One Who knows the reason He brought you to planet earth. Not your earthly parents.
If you are serious about wanting to know the answer, and I hope for your sake that you are, then you must come to know your Creator by establishing a relationship with His son Jesus Christ.
It is not that complicated. In fact, you can do it right now. “confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” That is it. It really is that simple.
Finally, get yourself a ‘Mentor.” A spiritual father/mother who can guide you and tap into the purpose Father God has for you.
