RECALCULATING ROUTE

This morning, my heart's desire continues to be to encourage you during this critical time.

I woke up early this morning and the first word I pronounced in my mind was “New.” Then the Lord brought to my memory this verse.

“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you.” -Matthew 6:33

Today is the beginning of a new week. And truly it is “new” for many thousands that are not used to doing what they’re doing now. Many were not used to working from home. Others like the restaurant servers, were not used to be around their own house. The guy with his gyro cart that used to get up at the crack of dawn to fill up his cart truck with franks and lamb meatt, can’t do that now that the streets of Manhattan are empty. Suddenly, everything is different. It’s the same for the small business owner, the hotel maid etc.

Everything is different.

How long will this last? It seems like the dawn of a new day. The daily routine for thousands upon thousands of people around the world has changed or is changing. Would it be that Father God is calling our attention towards Him?

Let me ask you something. If you are a caring parent, what do you do when you see your son or daughter heading in the wrong path or breaking the boundaries or rules you have established for his or her well being? You ground them! Which is another expression for “suspending their privileges”.

Is the Lord suspending our privileges, so we can open our eyes to see, that our behavior is not going in the right direction? That we are breaking the boundaries He has set up for us? And because we are not observing the rules we are supposed to, we are endangering our destiny?

I believe God in His infinitive love is saying to us, "I am suspending all your privileges: from shopping, to going to the movies, etc; so you can get back on the right track." He is speaking to us like the voice we hear on our GPS device when we make a wrong turn, “Recalculating route. Recalculating route.” She won’t stop saying it until WE TURN AROUND and head in the right direction.

I strongly believe this crisis, is God calling us to recalculate and turn from our wicked ways and PRAY so He can heal our land.
